About us

Working on health, education and the economy, together

The Triple Helix Foundation is a declared non-profit association in Yaoundé, Cameroon. We combine community projects with independent policy research.

Mission

To improve the health, education and economic opportunities of less privileged young people and women in Cameroon, through community projects and research that informs public policy.

Vision

A Cameroon where every young person can be healthy, learn well and earn a decent living.

Values

What guides us

Evidence

We base what we do and say on careful research, and we say what we do not know.

Inclusion

We design every project so that people with disabilities, girls and women and the poorest can take part.

Independence

Our findings are our own. No funder or partner decides what we publish.

Integrity

We are open about who funds us, how we spend money and what we achieve.

Partnership

We work with universities, government, business and communities, because no one solves these problems alone.

Strategy 2026–2028

Our strategic objectives

What we aim to achieve in our first three years.

  1. Build our departmentsAppoint a head for each department and the AI Initiative, and grow our network of experts.
  2. Launch our first projectsStart at least one project in each pillar, with clear indicators from day one.
  3. Publish and convenePublish our first policy briefs and working papers, and hold the first Yaoundé Policy Dialogues.
  4. Build partnershipsForm lasting partnerships with universities, government, business and funders.
  5. Strengthen our systemsPut in place the financial, governance and data-protection systems needed for audited accounts and larger grants.

Where we are now

We are at the very beginning, and we would rather say so plainly. The Foundation is run by volunteers and has no external funding yet. Our department heads are being recruited, our first studies are being designed, and our projects are starting small.

What we do have is a legal registration, a committed team, and a clear idea of the work we want to do. Partners who join us now will help shape it.
